Students may have up to a 50% discount on presentation of a valid student card from Monday to Thursday (however, not on major travel days*) and up to a 25% discount on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and major travel days*.
All seniors above 65 years and persons who are paid a pension according to the Danish Act on Social Pensions can purchase tickets at up to 50% discounts from Monday to Thursday (however, not on major travel days*) and up to 25% discount on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and major travel days*.
*) Major travel days: Wednesdays before Easter, Maundy Thursday, Easter Monday, the day before St. Bededag (fourth Friday after Easter), the day before and on Ascension Day, Whit Monday and the period from 22 December - 1 January.
Children under 16 years also have a discount of 50% and up to two children under 12 years may travel free of charge if they travel with an adult. Moreover, a child with a child ticket may be accompanied by another child under 12 years free of charge.
Until June 1, 2015 It is not possible to include free children with green tickets.
Groups of more than 9 people can no longer include children without payment.
Danish conscripts can travel free against presentation of documentation.
Student and senior tickets are also available for the red and blue departures as well as child tickets. And adults can combine red and blue discounted tickets with free fares for children as mentioned in the regulations.
